We’ve left the New York Week scenario with interesting thoughts and surprising new trends but now it’s time to dig into the place where fashion leads the streets, the air and definitely the runway, Milan. One of the most wonderful cities in the world, with some of the most beautiful women of the planet, Milan is an inspiration for top high fashion houses that introduce a distinct style and sense to the city.
First collection that gets into the spotlight, is D&G’s Spring/Summer 2011 where the two designers, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabanna go into a softer area, fragile looks and innocent appearances, where flower prints are the key points that attract attention on the runway through a fancy loose carefree style!
Starting the collection very energic with daytime chic styles where the flower power fashion trend expresses the first signs of spring, this show drives us into a romantic modern world and just like Stefano Gabbana said, “It’s a garden party!”. The first look that starts the show comes out powerful with a fabulous flower print shirt, a pair of bubble oversized summer shorts, some extremely huge fun platform shoes and a maxi bag.
D&G’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection appeals to a younger audience, including teenagers. With these new styles adopted, Domenico and Stefano wrapped their inspiration into clothing wear. The entire collection is a garden party with looks from stylish urban wear to romantic maxi dresses.
